to join our clients established and growing environmental consultancy team.
Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, our client is seeking environmental professionals with 3+ years’ relevant industry experience to join its team.

The Role
You will work across a diverse portfolio of environmental projects within the extractive and waste industries, as well as residential, commercial and industrial development.
Depending on your experience, you will support or lead projects from initial proposal through to completion, prepare environmental assessments and regulatory submissions, coordinate technical inputs and manage relationships with clients, specialists and regulatory authorities.
The key responsibilities of this role, can be summarised as follows:
Key Responsibilities
• Manage or support environmental projects from proposal through to completion.
• Prepare and review environmental assessments, technical reports and regulatory submissions.
• Support or lead Environmental Impact Assessment projects and coordinate multidisciplinary inputs.
• Prepare EPA Industrial Emissions Licence, waste licence, waste permit and discharge licence applications.
• Assist with By-product Article 27 and End-of-Waste Article 28 applications.
• Undertake environmental compliance and regulatory assessments.
• Provide practical technical and regulatory advice to clients.
Liaise with clients, external specialists, County Councils, the EPA, An Coimisiún Pleanála and other statutory authorities.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and resources, where appropriate.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to support business growth.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues, depending on experience.

Essential Requirements
• 3+ years’ experience in environmental industry.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant environmental-sector experience gained in Ireland or the UK.
• Experience preparing environmental assessments, technical reports or regulatory applications.
• Good knowledge of Irish and EU environmental legislation.
• Strong report-writing, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and contribute effectively across multiple projects.
• Confident communication with clients, project teams and regulatory authorities.
• Proactive, adaptable and accountable approach to project delivery.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
More experienced candidates should also be able to demonstrate project ownership, client management, commercial awareness and the ability to provide technical direction.
Desirable
• Project-management qualification.
• Chartered status or membership of a recognised environmental professional body.
• Experience mentoring or supervising colleagues.
• Safe Pass, Manual Handling or First Aid certification.
